I started out as a ceramics major while an undergraduate at TCU, but found myself exposed to a lot of types of paintiing I'd never experienced before. This was the heyday of minimalism and color field painting, and after a couple of semesters of doing that, I switched majors to painting.
Among my professors were Otis Jones, McKie Trotter, Anthony Jones, Richard Lincoln, Harry Geffert, David Conn, and Jim Woodson - great teachers all.
